Every December at Sylvester Manor tis the season … for Tea & Tree!
2012 marked the 60th anniversary of the Manor’s traditional holiday celebration, which the nonprofit revived in 2011 as a thank you event for our much appreciated donors and volunteers. Guests enter through the front door and are greeted by staff. They make their way through the festively decorated Manor to the dining room, where we set up a full silver tea service with an eclectic mix of fine china tea cups. Plates of cookies and confections are placed throughout the Manor for guests to enjoy and a punch station and musicians are stationed in the living room. To give our regular volunteers a chance to enjoy the party, the Sylvester Manor Educational Farm Board of Directors bake cookies, serve tea and punch, and organize this annual year-end event.
